A Spanish court has sentenced a documentary filmmaker who placed a camera and microphone in the crypt of a monument to the Fallen to one year in prison for discovering and revealing secrets. The filmmaker suspected that members of a brotherhood were meeting there to pay tribute to two generals buried in the crypt and to exalt the coup d'état of July 18 1936. According to the tribunal, the right to freedom of expression and information is not absolute, and in this case the privacy of the members of the brotherhood was more important. Read more here.
