The Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR), with the support of 294 organizations, including Rights International Spain and more than 11,000 individual firms, has filed a complaint against the EU-Turkey deal. The complaint, presented to the European Commission, the European commissioner for human rights and the European ombudsman, demands an investigation into how the implementation of the agreement constitutes a violation of European and international asylum legislation as well as the rights of the asylum seekers, and calls on EU member states to withdraw their support for the agreement.
