The Iustitia organization, which helps victims of hate violence, recorded 86 cases of hate violence in the Czech Republic in 2014. Incidents happened mostly because of nationality, ethnicity or religion. There are increasing attacks from "ordinary people" who don't belong to extremist groups. The rise of Islamophobia is the most significant trend. "The most vulnerable - in terms of recorded incidents - are people of Roma ethnicity and the Muslim faith," the report says. Verbal attacks are most common, but physical attacks do occur in about one third of cases.
