Rights International Spain has issued a report to the United Nations Committee against Torture, so that it may be taken into account in its review of the Spanish state at the end of this month. Among other issues, the organization denounces the lack of adaptation of the Spanish criminal and procedural code to the Convention against Torture (manifest, for example, in the existence of incommunicado detentions), irregularities committed at border areas (especially at the fences in Ceuta and Melilla), and the impunity of many police officers in torture cases.
