A Polish provincial court has dismissed the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights's complaint against the decision of the head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau to deny the foundation access to information regarding the agency's use of Remote Control System (RCS) software. RCS software is capable of monitoring computers and telephones and acquiring data stored on them. The system can also track online correspondence, even if a user is offline. The judgment is not final, however, and HFHR says it intends to file an appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court.
