The Central Bureau of Investigation of Poland's national police force has looked through the offices of Fakty i mity (Facts and Myths), a weekly publication that refers to itself as an "anticlerical paper." In addition to the search, police demanded that journalists give them access to materials that could contain information on the paper's informants. The police action is linked to allegations about the private life of the weekly’s editor-in-chief. The position of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights is that such operations may pose a risk to the guarantees of reporter’s privilege.
