Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło said that she does not see any possibility of taking in refugees at the moment. The government’s approach is not only incompatible with Poland’s EU obligations, but it also explicitly shows aversion towards the program of refugees quota. Associating terrorist attacks with refugees is an act of populism as every year refugee status applications in Poland are submitted by several thousand foreigners, many from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. So far, it has not resulted in any negative consequences for the country.
