In its latest attack against the country's defenders of democracy, the Hungarian government recently raided several human rights NGOs. A few weeks after the prime minister declared an end to liberal democracy in Hungary, police began investigating "financial wrongdoing" at the four NGOs that manage the EEA and Norway Grants program in Hungary. Several NGOs and platforms have sent out appeals and petitions to the European Commission and the Hungarian government.
