Italian citizens were left with a promise in July 2016 that the Parliament would discuss by September the draft law on the legalization of cannabis. The news now, which is not really news at all, is that there is nothing to discuss at present. Apparently, before the law can be debated on the floor of Parliament, it will be sent back yet again to the committee in charge of its writing. It's clear that Italy is very far from real change to the legal status of cannabis.
