The campaign "I was a stranger, and you welcomed me" was launched by many civil society organizations (including CILD) to collect signatures for a new legal proposal that fosters better reception, inclusion and integration of migrants. Against a backdrop of policies aimed at excluding and discriminating against foreigners, Italy must re-discover the potential of humanity. The legal proposal suggests: investing in work and integration; legalizing foreigners integrated through work experiences or family links; and diversified opportunities for work permits.
