The Administrative Court in Burgas will reconsider on March 2 the appeal of Zahra Shahsvani, who escaped from Iran and wants to permanently live in Bulgaria. She is afraid of going back to Iran as she recently adopted Christianity. The motive behind the previous refusal was that "the foreigner did not state any facts justifying her fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion or membership of a particular social group. Based on the above-mentioned, there are no grounds for providing humanitarian status to the woman."
