The Italian Parliament on June 8 finally approved a bill criminalizing the denial of the Holocaust. The law itself is part of the anti-racism bill, which also punishes incitement to racial hatred and crimes against humanity. Those convicted of Holocaust denial could face two to six years in prison. Among other members of the European Union, France, Germany and Belgium also have criminalized Holocaust denial.
