Half of all Roma in the Czech Republic, the largest ethnic minority in the country, live in social exclusion. According to estimates, 226,300 Roma live in the Czech Republic — about two percent of the country's population. Roma often find themselves living on the periphery of towns and villages, as many municipalities have been moving Roma families together. Members of other minority members also face prejudice, intolerance and discrimination in the country, even though many are well educated, successful at work, and earn high incomes with no outstanding debts.
