Gallup International's new social survey revealed that patriarchal stereotypes about the role of men and women in the family are still supported by almost half of Bulgarians. At the same time, three in four of the participants of the survey think that there should be a law that guarantees gender equality, and they also believe that there should be more women in politics. The authors of the study note that although the progress is slow, people are gradually overcoming stereotypes.
