The German minister for family affairs has inaugurated a monitoring body for the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, as part of the German Institute for Human Rights. The office will verify to what extent the Convention on the Rights of the Child is implemented in Germany and develop solutions and new ideas to solve problems. It will advise politicians, authorities, schools and many more on how to better achieve the goals of the UN Convention, which guarantees children's rights for protection, promotion and participation. The Convention is fully in force in Germany since 2010.
