The German constitutional court has ruled that a man who was convicted of murder in 1982 has the right to be removed from results in internet search engines. Since 2014 citizens of the European Union have had the right to be forgotten and can demand that personal information found on the internet be deleted. The man's claim was initially rejected in 2012 when it was ruled that his right to privacy was outweighed by press freedom and public interest. Read more here.
