The French judicial authorities are prosecuting five teenagers (ages 15 to 17) who have overturned around 250 Jewish graves and demolished a monument for victims of the Holocaust in a cemetery in the village of Sarre-Union, Alsace. According to local prosecutor Philippe Vannier, the boys had a clear anti-Semitic motive. While desecrating the graves, they chanted slogans such as "Heil Hitler," "Sieg Heil," "dirty Jews" and "dirty race". The police tracked down the suspects when one of them denounced himself at the police station and implicated the four others.
