Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands are in the top 5 of the Rule of Law Index, which compares the quality of the administration of justice of 113 countries. The Netherlands finished first in access to the justice system, the question whether the administration of justice is free from discrimination, corruption and political influence. The Rule of Law Index, compiled by the World Justice Project, is based on interviews with 100,000 respondents and conversations with experts. Countries that scored poorly on the index include Venezuela, Cambodia, Afghanistan and Egypt.
