A fresh Pew Research Center report found that only a slim majority (51 percent) of respondents across 10 member states favored the EU. In five of the six nations surveyed in both last year and this year, it found favorability declining. A majority of Greeks (71 percent) and French (61 percent) were unfavorable towards the Union. Support for the EU is also down in Spain, the UK and Italy. Another poll by Epinion in Denmark showed that 42 percent of citizens (up from 37 percent in February) want a vote on whether Denmark should continue to be a member of the EU.
