Although French officials claim the Calais camp is now empty and closed, aid workers say about 100 children remain in the camp with nowhere to sleep at night. Volunteers found shelter for the children yesterday in a warehouse where many of the migrants were being processed, as well as a makeshift school inside the camp. A total of 5,596 people have been registered to move to reception centers in other parts of France since Monday, including about 1,500 unaccompanied minors being housed in an on-site container camp, which activists say is now full.
