The Equal Opportunities Ombudsman's Office launched an investigation into the alleged discrimination of a disabled boy who was refused entry to a playroom at IKEA. His mother told news media outlets in January that she wanted to spend some time in the children's playroom with her cerebral palsy-afflicted son, who is unable to walk or sit without assistance, while at an IKEA store. "They then told me that not only was my child not allowed to enter, but that I would be denied entry as well," she recalled. "When my husband asked who set these rules, the employee remarked that it was the Swedes."
