The deportation from the Netherlands of aliens to Somalia appears to have been possible again since October 2014. That's why the state secretary for security and justice, Fred Teeven, was in a position to put a Somali man into temporary custody. This emerges from a February 3 judgment by the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Dutch Council of State. On the basis of the commitment of the Somali authorities to cooperate in the forced return of Somali aliens and three successful returns, in the opinion of the Division, deportation within a reasonable period of time is again in sight.
