According to a European Commission survey on the level of discrimination in EU countries, published in October, the Czech Republic is one of the least tolerant countries towards national minorities, foreigners, sexual minorities and different religions. In some categories, such as intolerance towards Roma, the Czech Republic sits on top. In other categories, it competes for the title of least tolerant country with Slovakia or Bulgaria. It is also evident from the results that the Czechs are insensitive to acts of discrimination and often do not even perceive them.
