More than 8,000 workers participated in the protest that was organized by unions in Slavonski Brod on Labor day (the 1st of May). They want the minimum wage increased, better social programs, and they want to be able to support a quality life from of their work. They formed a protest line that was more than one kilometer long, and union leaders said that Labor day is not a day for rest, but the day of workers awakening.
