In her opinion on the proposed amendments to the Law on Compulsory Health Insurance, Ombudswoman Lora Vidović warned how they will affect the financial situation of citizens, in particular by increasing the maximum amount of money that a person has to pay for health insurance. This will affect vulnerable groups, including pensioners, seriously ill and poor people. According to the statement, the Ministry of Health didn't analyze the impact on citizens, nor did it sufficiently explain the reasons why the urgent procedure is needed.
