Norway's Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the appeal of mass-murderer Anders Behring Breivik, who says he will turn to the European Court of Human Rights. Breivik is seeking recognition of human rights violations in his detention conditions, specifically because he is kept in isolation. But Norway's high court ruled that his isolation is for his own safety and noted that even in solitary confinement, he is given ample living space, a DVD player, a video game console, books, newspapers, and an exercise room.
