Agreements had been made with large companies to strive, on a voluntary basis, for 30 percent of top positions to be held by women by the end of 2015. However, an evaluation by a commission set up by Minister Mariëtte Bussemaker shows that the percentages lag far behind. This is why the PvdA (Dutch Labor) is drafting a bill. If, however, it turns out that progress will have been made this year, Labor MP Keklik Yücel is willing to postpone a forced quota. Bussemaker, for her part, is not an advocate of the quota. Moreover, Labor shouldn't expect any support from liberal coalition partner VVD.
