Facebook must do a better job of clarifying its position on removing videos and other content that document human rights issues. This is according to a letter sent by 73 civil society organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union, Black Lives Matter and the Arab American Institute, to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The groups are "deeply concerned with the recent cases of Facebook censoring human rights documentation." The issue is particularly sensitive following the release of Facebook Live, through which two shocking acts of violence were documented over the summer.
