Obwohl Litauen das Übereinkommen des Europarats zur Verhütung und Bekämpfung von Gewalt gegen Frauen und häuslicher Gewalt bereits 2013 unterzeichnete, gehört es zu den 6 EU-Staaten, die die "Istanbul-Konvention" bisher nicht ratifiziert haben.
